#13: Preeclampsia in pregnant women

Do you know what preeclampsia is? It is a potentially dangerous condition that is not commonly talked about even though it affects 16% of all pregnancies in the U.S – the most severe outcome being maternal and/or fetal death. Considering that the month of May is Preeclampsia Awareness Month, we talk about this condition, its severity, why it occurs, and the symptoms that can help pregnant women and postpartum mothers be on the lookout for as preventive measures.
